MIRI: Registration for the ‘Run for Insurance’ charity run will close at 11.59pm tomorrow (Feb 21).
Part of the proceeds will go to the Miri Kidney Dialysis Centre and Miri Palliative Care Association of Miri. Organised by the National Association of Malaysian Life Insurance and Family Takaful Advisors (Namlifa) Miri, the run on Sunday (Feb 24) at Marina Central Park will begin at 6am.
In a press release yesterday, Namlifa Miri secretary Richard Wong said upon registration at www.namlifa.com/runforinsurance, participants are required to pay the registration fee via online banking or manually into Namlifa Miri’s bank account (Maybank account 561015115392).
The payment receipt must then be sent to either Jack Pui (012-8773121) or Stephanie Sia (011-31965669) for confirmation.
Registration fees for the 3km, 5km, and 10km are RM50, RM55, and RM60 respectively. For participants aged 12 and below, the registration fee is RM30, which includes a t-shirt and finisher’s medal. For the 10km category, the top four prizes are RM450, RM350, RM300, and RM200, while the consolation prize is RM115.
They will also enter a lucky draw with prizes comprising sports apparel worth nearly RM5,000.
Race packs of a gift bag, t-shirt, finisher’s medal, and road tax sticker will be available for collection on Friday and Saturday (Feb 22-23) at Permaisuri Imperial City Mall from 10am to 7pm.
