Bomba personnel and villagers heading off into the jungle to search for Polus.
KUCHING: Rescuers are on the lookout for a villager who failed to return home after entering a jungle near Kampung Stom Muda in Lundu on Saturday.
The 49-year-old, identified as Polus Deng, was last seen leaving his house at 7am and entering the jungle armed with a stick.
A spokesperson from the Fire and Rescue Department (Bomba) said a search-and rescue operation was launched yesterday after police in Lundu informed the department that a missing persons report had been filed.
Apart from Bomba personnel, local villagers have also joined in the search for Polus.
There were no signs of the missing villager as of press time yesterday.
