SANDAKAN: Sandakan Municipal Council (SMC) president Datuk Peter Hii Chang Lik has lodged a police report against Sabah Umno Youth over accusations of wrongdoing while serving as head of the local authority.
In the report, lodged on February 22, Hii said Sabah Umno Youth had also tarnished his reputation as president of SMC.
“I am urging the police and the Malaysia Communication and Multimedia Commission (MCMC) to investigate and take action on the report against the Sabah Umno Youth movement for slandering me as the president of SMC, the local authority and the state Government,” he said.
Hii also said that he had instructed his lawyer to file a summons against the individual who made the accusations which went viral on social media.
