LONDON: A 17-year-old boy was stabbed to death in Hale Barns, nor far from Manchester Airport on Saturday evening.

He was taking to hospital where he died.

Greater Manchester Police  two boys, also aged 17, had been arrested on suspicion of murder and taken into custody.

Police said the circumstances surrounding the boy’s death were still being established.

The death comes a day after a 17-year-old girl, Jodie Chesney, was killed in a knife attack in a park in east London.

Police chiefs have described the recent spate of knife crime across Britain as a national emergency and called for action to prevent more deaths.
