SARIKEI: SMK Tinggi Sarikei is ranked 15th among 23 schools in Sarawak with the highest number of students who scored at least grade ‘A’ in all subjects they sat for in last year’s Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia (SPM) examination.

One hundred and sixty-nine (91.85 pct) out of 185 students who sat for the examination passed and are qualified to receive SPM certificates, including 14 who scored at least grade A in all subjects they sat for.

The high achievers are Amy Tang Dhi Ding, Grace Wong Huei, Cynthia Lau Sie Linh, Ling Shan Shan, Ambrose Wong Siu Shii, Sherly Lieu Hui Ling, Law Yan Yan, Kelly Ham Siew Qin, Leong Lai Chen, Sherene Ling Ee Jie, Chan Siaw Jing, Holyvia Lau Yuk Lang, Rosemary Rundan Engkaang, and Ting Kiong Yii.

The school average grade (GPS) is 3.59, and is listed among 21 high-performing rural schools in Sarawak.

SMK Bandar Sarikei meanwhile recorded 75.79 per cent pass rate with 72 out of 95 students sitting for the examination getting through.

Two students who scored at least grade A in all subjects taken are Loh Sing Yee (5A+,4A,1A-) and Aileen John Wilfred (2A+,7A).
