KUCHING: Speculations on the federal government’s intention to change Pan Borneo Highway Sarawak (PBHS) project delivery partner (PDP) model to turnkey contractor model has caught the attention of Sarawak Chief Minister Datuk Patinggi Abang Johari Tun Openg.

When met by reporters after a function at a hotel here yesterday, Abang Johari said it is up to Pakatan Harapan (PH) government to restructure the model as the PBHS is a federal government
project.

Abang Johari who is Gabungan Parti Sarawak (GPS) chairman said his only concern is that
the change might delay the project.

“What happens is the federal government wants to restructure it (PBHS) and they are not using the present arrangement.

“It’s up to them because this is their project. What we are concerned is we hope it will not cause any delay in the project,” he said.
