The front side of the vehicle was badly damaged in the crash
BINTULU: A 48-year-old driver was injured after his vehicle crashed into the rear side of a lorry at Mile 31, Miri-Bintulu road, near Bakun junction around 12.36pm yesterday.
Six personnel from Samalaju Fire and Rescue Department were rushed to the scene after receiving a distress call.
Upon arrival, they found the pickup truck driver identified as Sa Manik from Sg Sedaun Tubau, Sebauh was trapped in the driver’s seat.
After he was extricated from the wreckage, the injured victim was taken to Bintulu hospital for treatment.
