KUALA LUMPUR: Eversendai Corporation Bhd has secured three new projects with a combined value of RM196 million in Abu Dhabi and Qatar.

The new contracts raised the company’s total contract wins to RM602 million for the year 2019 to-date and lifted its order book to about RM2.52 billion, it said in a statement yesterday.

The Abu Dhabi job, awarded by Arabtec Construction, is a museum project.

Eversendai also secured structural steel works for two high-rise building projects in Doha, Qatar, from Redco Construction – Almana along with Al Baker Investments and QIMC.

“Our core business tender book stands at RM10 billion and we are confident of winning more work progressively.

“Eversendai is continuously looking at delving into new opportunities in interrelated industries whilst maintaining its commendable performance and track record.

“Our business philosophy is to not depend on a single market or client,” said executive chairman and group managing director Tan Sri AK Nathan.

He said the company remained optimistic in the regions where it operated with many new opportunities in the pipeline.

“With our established business clientele and market, we are confident to maintain sustainable growth.

“Regardless of how the overall global market behaves, the construction sector will keep growing according to the economic development of the respective countries.

“I believe we are well positioned to overcome any obstacle and
stay on course to achieve our business goals,” he added. — Bernama
