‘Nutritious Drinks’ campaign aims to instill healthy eating habits in young schoolkids

Dr Ting (second row from front, third right) joins SJKC Chung Hua Pujut pupils and teachers in a segment to promote the ‘Jom Minum Minuman Berkhasiat’ programme.

MIRI: People who take good care of their health are more likely to enjoy life than those who do not.

In stating this, Pujut assemblyman Dr Ting Tiong Choon reiterates the importance for everyone to watch what they eat and drink.

“Everybody starts eating and drinking the moment after we are born. It is important that we consume nutritional food to keep our bodies healthy. If we have good health, we are likely to have good lives,” Dr Ting spoke at the launch of the ‘Jom Minum Minuman Berkhasiat’ (Let’s Have Nutritious Drinks) programme at SJKC Chung Hua Pujut here yesterday.

Referring to the programme, Dr Ting said it signified the importance of instilling healthy eating habits in children from a young age.

“We must start from school; get the children to learn and identify which food and drinks are good for the body, and which ones are bad,” he said.
