MIRI: Chief Minister Datuk Patinggi Abang Johari Tun Openg said that he has not been informed of the relocation of the Registrar’s Office of the High Court of Sarawak and Sabah, from Kuching to Kota Kinabalu.

“I was not informed of this. We will issue an official statement on this matter soon,” he told reporters after launching the GPS Zone 13B at Eastwood Valley Golf and Country Club today.

A ‘circular’ issued by the Registrar of the Federal Court dated April 19 went viral on the WhatsApp messaging platform, revealing the alleged relocation said to come into effect on May 1.

The ‘letter’ was signed by Chief Registrar of the Federal Court Datuk Seri Latifah Mohd Tahar, going on to say that it had the consent of the Yang Dipertuan Agong Al-Sultan Abdullah Ri’ayatuddin Al-Mustafa Billah Shah.
