MIRI: A 30-year-old motorcyclist, who was injured in an accident on Monday morning, died while receiving treatment at Miri Hospital later the same day.
In a statement, Sarawak Traffic Investigation and Enforcement Department chief Supt Alexson Naga Chabu said Abdul Aisamuddin Jamhari sustained serious injuries in a single-vehicle accident at 11.45am in front of a kindergarten in Tudan.
“The deceased and his wife, who was riding pillion, were on their way to fetch their child at the kindergarten.
“However, upon reaching the kindergarten, he suddenly lost control of his motorcycle and veered into the opposite direction before being thrown from the machine,” Alexson said.
Abdul Aisamuddin sustained serious head injuries, while his wife escaped with light injuries.
