KOTA KINABALU: Following a motorcycle accident he suffered on Wednesday morning, Deputy Home Minister Datuk Mohd Azis Jamman is currently still in hospital and has not been cleared to go home.

Sources close to the Sepanggar MP say Azis is currently still receiving medical attention for a leg injury sustained in the accident.

“As of now, he (Azis) is still awaiting for advice from doctors before taking any action. He is however in stable condition and the injuries sustained are mild and not a cause for concern,” said the source.

They also asked that the public give Azis space to recover and recuperate during this time.

Around 10am on Wednesday, Azis was involved in a motorcycle accident at Bukit Kelawat near Nabalu town, Kundasang.

As a result, he sustained a leg injury from reportedly falling off the motorcycle he was riding as part of a convoy organised by the National Anti Narcotics Agency (AADK).

Azis was then rushed to Tuaran Hospital, transferred to Queen Elizabeth Hospital and thereafter moved to a private hospital by 2pm on the same day.
