KUCHING: Deputy Chief Minister Datuk Amar Douglas Uggah yesterday held a meeting with Malaysian Technology Development Corporation Sdn Bhd (MTDC) officers here led by its corporate services division officer Mohammad Farish Nizar Othman.

According to a press statement, Sarawak was very keen to learn from the MTDC experience in managing the state’s Agriculture Venture Capital Fund, a brainchild of Chief Minister Datuk Patinggi Abang Johari Tun Openg which was set up last year with RM200 million set aside for it.

The fund was to help agropreneurs who are already successful but need assistance to expand their businesses.
