KUCHING: Private nursing service provider Tabuan Healthcare and Nursing is setting up an ‘Aged Care Home’ at affordable rates inclusive of meals and laundry.

According to administrator of Tabuan Healthcare and Nursing Matron Teo, the first floor is mainly for nursing and rehabilitative care and most of their clients are quite dependent on the carers who are all qualified nurses.

“Our centre caters for both stay-in and home clients. The new Aged Care Home is capable of accommodating up to 30 clients.

“We offer 24-hour services to provide the community with a high quality private nursing care,” she said when met at the centre at Tabuan Square here yesterday.

Teo said the centre emphasises on the well-being, respect and dignity of their clients served by a team of  professionally trained nursing staff dedicated to render quality nursing care.

She added that safety is their top priority in making a difference in clients’ quality of life and also pledged that caregivers are experienced, friendly, hardworking, trustworthy, responsible, dependable, reliable and caring.

Services include bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, incontinence care, medication reminders, meal preparation, light housekeeping, laundry, exercise programme and transportation.

Charges range from RM1,800 to RM2,500 per month.

Teo said the centre also provided day-care service from 7am to 7pm on top of post hospitalisation or rehabilitative care.

“We also offer supportive care services such as changing of feeding (nasogastric) tube and changing of urinary or indwelling catheter (for female only) with appointment,” she added.
