KUALA LUMPUR: Malaysian Technology Development Corp Sdn Bhd (MTDC) says another technology company will be listed on Bursa Malaysia’s ACE Market in June.

Chief executive officer Datuk Norhalim Yunus said it would be a Penang-based company involved in automation and robotics, and the listing prospectus launched next week. He did not provide additional details about the company.

“This company is among those given business commercialisation funding 10 years ago. We can see now rapid development in the field of robotics and automation in line with the growth of Industry 4.0,” he told reporters after the listing ceremony of TT Vision Holdings Bhd on Bursa Malaysia’s LEAP (Leading Entrepreneur Accelerator Platform) market yesterday.

MTDC is an investor in TT Vision with 29.55 per cent stake.

Norhalim said TT Vision, which started business in the semiconductor and vision inspection system sectors in 2002, received funding from MTDC in 2010, and is currently expanding into the robotics segment.

“The company has a lot of collaborations with local universities, in particular Universiti Sains Malaysia, in conducting research. We will continue to support TT Vision until it can be listed on the ACE Market and if its expansion is encouraging, move the company into the Main Market,” he added.

Currently, Norhalim said there are two other technology companies working with investment bankers for listing on the ACE Market next year.

“These companies are involved in Internet of Things (IoT), robotics and green technology. At this point, the listing of both companies is confirmed, but we will try to add another,” he said. — Bernama
