MIRI: Police have arrested two men who are believed to be drug pushers in an ambush at an unoccupied house in Jalan Banting, Lawas yesterday (May 18).
Lawas police chief DSP Abang Zainal Abidin Abang Ahmad, who confirmed the arrest, said both suspects are locals, aged 25 and 47 years old.
During the 3.30pm ambush, the raiding team found 12 straw tubes containing crystalline substance believed to be Syabu on one of the suspects.
The elder suspect was tested positive for Methamphetamine and Amphetamine while the other suspect was tested negative for any drugs.
Police are investigating both suspects under Section 12 (2) of the Dangerous Drugs Act 1952 while one was also being investigated under Section 15(1)(a) of the same act for drug abuse.
