Youth shares problems with buddies before taking 2-storey leap

KUCHING: A youth was seriously injured following a suspected suicide attempt which saw him leap from the second floor of a shoplot here.

The incident happened around 1.30am at Jalan Ang Cheng Ho when the 22-year-old from Tebedu, who had been drinking with his friends since 6pm Saturday, began sharing his family problems with his drinking buddies.

He is said to have suddenly run towards an open window and jumped out, despite attempts by his friends to grab him.

The impact of the fall left him with serious head injuries. He was rushed to Sarawak General Hospital and warded in the Intensive Care Unit.
