KUCHING: The upcoming Malaysia Agreement 1963 (MA63) Steering Committee meeting may be held here after the Hari Raya celebrations.
Assistant Minister of Law, State-Federal Relations and Project Monitoring Sharifah Hasidah Sayeed Aman Ghazali said the actual date of the meeting has not been fixed yet but Prime Minister Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad and other committee members are expected to attend the meeting.
“The motion in relation to the proposed amendments (of the federal constitution) had been passed in the state legislative assembly and it will be put forward and discussed further with the federal government through both the MA63 steering committee and technical committee,” she said.
Sharifah Hasidah added that the discussions on restoring autonomy rights of Sarawak and Sabah are ongoing.
“Everything will be on the table for discussions, h she told reporters during her Hari Raya open house at her residence in Jalan Demak Jaya here yesterday.
