Charity cooking demo at Aeroville Mall a big hit

KUCHING: A charity cooking demonstration held at Aeroville Mall here yesterday received a good number of participants.

The activity was jointly conducted by Hoi Tin Lau Restaurant and Alison’s Kitchen, with Ayam Brand as the sponsor, and The Borneo Post and See Hua Daily News as media partners.

It was held as a pre-event to Sarawak Society for the Deaf (SSD)’s annual ‘Charity Food Fair’ set to take place at the Sarawak Association of Churches premises this July 28, running from 8am to noon.

Chef Andrew Kow and Hoi Tin Lau Restaurant owner Master Chef Goh Ah Seng conducted the demonstration yesterday, where they prepared Teochew Mooncake, Nyonya Three-Flavour ‘Kueh’ (Cakes), Nyonya Chicken Ponteh, Nyonya Fish Curry and Lemongrass Pan-fried Chicken.

The chefs interacted with all the participants including SSD members.

Alison’s Kitchen owner Allison Si, SSD president Ernest Ting, SSD chairperson Joanna Wong and See Hua Marketing public relations executive Eileen Lim also attended the demonstration.
