KUCHING: Normah Medical Specialist Centre (NMSC) welcomed visitors to an open day as part of its 31st anniversary celebration yesterday.

The covered car park had stalls selling food and beverages as well as preloved clothes, shoes, and bags, while food trucks were stationed at the open parking lot and other stalls provided activities for children.

Inside the hospital were booths offering promotions on various services and free health screening.

Chief financial officer Dayang Masniah Abang Dawi said the open day was a way to get the public to know more about NMSC and its services.

“We’ve been doing this for many years, and will continue to do this open day; partly as our annual activities and also a way to get the public to know more about NMSC and our services,” she said.

She said the hospital is welcoming a new resident doctor specialising in rheumatology.

“The resident doctor will be joining us next week, so if anyone suffers from gout, SLE (Systemic Lupus Erythematosus), arthritis, or rheumatism, do come and visit us here to get a check-up,” said Dayang Masniah.
