KUCHING: Police arrested one female and two male suspects during a drug raid on a house at Jalan  Bunga Tongkeng, Petra Jaya around 11.45am on Wednesday (Sept 4).

In a statement yesterday, Sarawak Narcotics Criminal Investigation Department (NCID) head Supt Hasnir Abdul Hamid said police seized drugs believed to be syabu worth about RM700.

He said the first male suspect, aged 26, was rounded up in front of the house.

The second male suspect, aged 23, and the 25-year-old female suspect were apprehended in a bedroom.

Hasnir said police found a small black bag with eight plastic packets believed to contain drugs on the floor of the same bedroom.

All three suspects, who are jobless, later tested positive for methamphetamine at the Kuching District police headquarters.

The case is being investigated under Section 39A(1) and Section 15(1)(a) of the Dangerous Drugs Act 1952.
