MIRI: Participants of the third leg of 7th Colour Rush Run 2019 on Sept 22 are reminded to collect their race packs tomorrow at Somerset Hotel, No 12, Kwang Tung Road here between 10am and 8pm.
The specially designed Colour Rush Run t-shirt is available at Lea Sports Centre and Lea outlets.
Race packs comprise two 100g packets of colour powder, running bib and sponsored vouchers. Those who complete the run will receive a sophisticatedly-designed finisher medal each.
Sarawak Children’s Cancer Society (SCCS) president Jocelyn Hee in a press release said that late registration is still accepted during race pack collection and on the day of the run.
“We welcome those who want to support the run and hope to send out more positive vibes to the local community through the run,” she said.
Hee reminded participants that the specially designed Colour Rush Run t-shirt is available at Lea Sports Centre or Lea Centre outlets in Kuching, Sibu and Miri for only RM25 each with registration receipts issued by SCCS. The t-shirt is RM50 without SCCS receipts.
Hee revealed that more than 2,000 runners are expected at the third leg here and the second leg at Saradise Kuching this Sunday. The first leg in Sibu on Sept 1 recorded over 1, 200 participants.
The third leg of Colour Rush Run will start from Boulevard Shopping Mall (Pujut) car park on Sept 22 at 6.30am. Participants are reminded to arrive at the venue by 6am.
The 5KM run started eight years ago to commemorate Childhood Cancer Awareness month in September and raise awareness on childhood cancer with the coloured powder representing hope, faith and strength for young cancer patients.
