KUCHING: Serembu assemblyman Miro Simuh has challenged Saratok MP Ali Biju to come up with a list of federal projects that faced obstacles in implementation due to Sarawak government’s act.

“Did Ali Biju speak with facts or merely a hearsay? He must be responsible for his accusation (against Sarawak government).

“I dare to challenge him to come (up) with the list of federal projects that faced obstacles due to Sarawak government’s act,” he said in a statement today.

He was responding to Ali, who last night complained about the Gabungan Parti Sarawak (GPS) government not being helpful and had made it difficult for the federal government to implement its development projects in Sarawak.

Ali, who is also Krian assemblyman, also said he was dismayed that the state government ‘is prohibiting local community leaders to participate in any PH (Pakatan Harapan) event and programmes’.

Miro noted that after a year marching into Putrajaya, the Pakatan Harapan-led federal government had cancelled projects and came up with accusation and rhetoric statements.

He felt that Ali as well as Parti Keadilan Rakyat (PKR) Sarawak chairman and Works Minister Baru Bian should concentrate on fighting for more major projects for Sarawak.

“As a federal minister work minister, he (Baru) should use his position to fight for projects in Sarawak, not as window dresser minister only.

“And now PH is talking about taking (over) Sarawak government all the time without fighting and caring about the needs of Sarawakians. I hope the rakyat (people) will give them a good lesson in the coming state election,” said Miro.

He added that those statements of PH leaders had been intended to hide their weaknesses by diverting issues to Sarawak government.
