SRI AMAN: A house near Rh Megau Linggang, Rapak Atas Village here was destroyed in a fire early yesterday morning.
According to a spokesman for the Sarawak Fire and Rescue Department’s Operations Center (JBPM), they received a call about the incident around 6.45am.
“The house was completely destroyed and the distance from the affected house to the nearest longhouse is approximately 20 feet,” added the spokesman.
A team from the Sri Aman Fire and Rescue Station who rushed to the scene had the fire under control at 7.50am. No injuries or loss of life was reported during the incident.
The operation ended at 8am.
