SANDAKAN: It is now the best time for Sabahans to purchase their first home, said Hap Seng Land Deputy General Manager (Sales and Marketing Sabah) Caroline Yong Yah Fui.

Caroline said that Hap Seng is the only developer in Sabah that was chosen by the government to run the MyHome Scheme which offers RM30,000 of subsidy from the government to first-time house buyers.

She said that Hap Seng was given a quota of 762 units for MyHome Scheme, and a total of 85 units were allocated for Kingfisher Sandakan Condominium which were now selling fast.

“For the first time ever, we have two government’s subsidies that buyers could take advantage of when purchasing a house. This is the best time to purchase a house.

“The Federal Government is not only offering MyHome Scheme to the purchaser but also another scheme known as Malaysia Home Ownership Campaign 2019 (HOC). HOC offers rebate of 10 percent and free stamp duty on the Memorandum of Transfer for customers until December 31, 2019,” she said.

All Malaysians who are 21 years old and above, first home buyers (with no property loans in their financial records), with household income of RM10,000 per year and below are eligible for MyHome Scheme in which the government is going to subsidise RM30,000 of the price of property.

“We have just opened Kingfisher Sandakan Block A2 for sale and we encourage locals to take advantage of the two promotions now offered by the government to purchase a unit at a much lower price. A customer could save up to RM118,000 from these promotions,” she said.
