KOTA KINABALU: Deputy Chief Minister Datuk Christina Liew has pledged to work hand in hand with the Federal Government to return Sabah’s rights under Malaysia Agreement 1963 (MA63).

Liew, who is also the Minister of Tourism, Culture and Environment, thanked the Federal Government for forming a special committee to look into MA63 issues with the Sabah and Sarawak state governments in an effort to realize Pakatan Harapan’s (PH) manifesto.

She said this at the annual general meeting (AGM) of Sabah Parti Keadilan Rakyat (PKR) branches, which was officiated by PKR president Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim here yesterday.

Liew, who heads Sabah PKR, said PKR Sabah was established on September 8, 1999 as a platform for Sabahans to join the reformation movement.

“We thank the reformation warriors who have fought for the past 20 years that enabled us to be part of the Sabah State Government today.”

She also urged the party members to play their roles in helping the new State Government in realizing the changes which PKR had been fighting for.
