KUCHING: The possible deregistration of Parti Bansa Dayak Sarawak Baru (PBDSB) is a lesson to all Dayak-based political organisations for not following the rules of the Registrar of Societies (RoS), said Tan Sri Dr James Masing.

The Parti Rakyat Sarawak (president) said it was easy to start a political party, but it’s harder to keep it going.

“Please don’t start a political party unless you know what your objectives are and the challenges you may face to keep it alive,” he told The Borneo Post today.

Masing claimed PBDSB was formed on the premise of “negative emotion”.

“Anger and revenge are not a good basis to start a political organisation because it will not last.

“It creates only embarrassment.”

A very reliable source told the paper yesterday that PBDSB has been deregistered for failing to submit its annual returns.

When contacted, PBDSB secretary general Julius Enchana said his party will hold a press conference tomorrow morning.
