KOTA KINABALU: A man sustained minor injury after jumping from a two-storey shoplot that was on fire at Jalan Keleto in Inanam on Thursday night.
The 40-year-old man however only sustained minor injury and was taken to hospital for outpatient treatment in an EMRS vehicle from the State Fire and Rescue Department.
Lintas Fire and Rescue operation chief Agustavia Joe Guasi said a 10.44 pm distress call was received and 28 firefighters from Lintas and Sembulan rushed to the scene.
The two-storey shoplot was completely destroyed in the fire and it took about half an hour for firefighters to control the blaze.
Agustavia said the operation ended around midnight on Thursday without any untoward incident being reported.
The cause of the fire and total loss are still under investigation.
