KOTA KINABALU: No arrests have been made by the police in connection to the case where a primary school teacher allegedly stapled a 10-year-old boy’s left ear for not completing his homework.

Kota Kinabalu police chief ACP Habibi Majinji said no arrests were made as the boy’s parents have withdrawn their police report, while both parties are believed to have resolved the incident amicably.

The Primary Four student suffered bleeding in his ear, and was later admitted to the Women and Children Hospital in Likas.

The victim’s mother states that she learned of the incident from her sister, who had picked the boy up from school last week.

The boy’s parents had initially lodged a police report as well as a complaint with the Sabah State Education Department.
