Four robbery suspects have remand extended

KOTA SAMARAHAN: A magistrate’s court here yesterday extended the remand order against four men for their alleged involvement in house break-ins and robbery cases.

The district police chief DSP Lee Chong Chern in a press statement said they would be remanded until Oct 9 to assist police in their investigation.

“They also admitted to be involved in 10 other criminal cases (two robberies and eight house break-ins),” said Lee yesterday.

The latest one happened on Sept 17, when two of the suspects broke into a house in Taman Merlin around 11am. The police managed to track down the suspects and arrested all four of them as well as the buyer of the stolen items.

The suspects are a 44-year-old from Miri, a 43-year-old from Padawan and a 41-year-old from Kota Sentosa.

The fourth suspect claimed to be from Kota Samarahan but did not have any identification
card.

Among items the police seized from them were four bags of different brands, a guitar, a DVD car player, a GPS navigation gadget, a car alarm, four fishing equipment, and a car subwoofer.
