KUCHING: Two Indonesian men were arrested at a shoplot near Batu Kawa here yesterday for suspected involvement in online betting activities.
According to Padawan district police chief Supt Aidil Bolhassan, a raid was conducted by a team from Padawan police headquarters’ Criminal Investigation Department (CID) at the location at about 6.30pm.
Five mobiles and RM153 cash were confiscated during the raid.
The suspects and item confiscated have been handed over to the case assistant investigating officer for further actions to be taken.
The case is being investigated under Common Gaming Houses Act 1953.
