LAWAS: A woman was slightly injured after her car struck a traffic light post near the federal complex here and overturned early yesterday.
The 67-year-old from Kampung Temangis near here was travelling alone when the incident happened around 5am, according to Fire and Rescue Department (Bomba) Lawas chief Zaki Husin.
He said Bomba personnel were deployed to the scene following a distress call, and arrived to discover the victim still inside her overturned vehicle.
“We immediately rescued the victim and brought her to the hospital where she was treated for minor injuries to her forehead,” said Zaki.
He added firefighters also removed the downed traffic light post and other debris from the road.
