Firemen capture four-foot crocodile in Lundu District Council’s drain

The reptile found in the drain within the vicinity of Lundu District Council was captured by Bomba personnel.

KUCHING: A four-foot crocodile that was found in the drain within the vicinity of the Lundu District Council was captured this morning.

According to a spokesperson of the Fire and Rescue Department (Bomba) operations centre, a team led from Lundu fire station chief Ramli Marasan were deployed to the scene after receiving a call from Lundu District Council around 9.40am.

“Upon arrival at the scene, police found a crocodile with an estimated length of about 1.2 metres in the drain within the vicinity of Lundu District Council.

“Bomba personnel used a string to catch the crocodile and tied the reptile before it was brought back to the fire station,” it said in a press statement.

It also stated that the crocodile will be surrendered to the Sarawak Forestry Corporation (SFC) for further action.
