KKB awarded water projects for Samarahan worth RM60.9 mln

KUCHING: KKB Engineering Bhd (KKB) announced that it received two letters of award from Jabatan Bekalan Air Luar Bandar Sarawak (JBALB) for the proposed construction and completion of water supply in the Samarahan division.

In its filing on Bursa Malaysia, it said, the project involved the construction and completion of water supply from Kota Samarahan to Sebuyau, for Sarawak Water Supply Grid Programme – Stressed Areas. Both contracts are for Contract Package 3A and Contract Package 3B.

The construction contract package 3A is expected to commence from end October 2019 and set to complete by December 2020.

As for Package 3B, it is expected to commence by the end of this month and complete by February 2021.

In addition, KKB also received additional supply orders for MSCL Pipes and Specials from Laras Jaya Engineering Sdn Bhd, Cipta Wawasan Maju Engineering Sdn Bhd, and Cityon Development Sdn Bhd. These supply orders are expected to be delivered in stages within the first half of 2020.

The total combined contract sum for these contracts and orders are worth approximately RM60.9 million.
