BINTULU: Malaysia LNG Sdn Bhd (MLNG), a subsidiary of Petronas, contributed three medical equipment to Bintulu Hospital for the benefit of the local community.

The equipment are clinical chemistry analyser, haemodialysis machine and RO water purification system.

The hospital now has two units of clinical chemistry analyser and 28 haemodialysis machines after the contribution.

During the handover ceremony yesterday, MLNG managing director and chief executive officer Mohamed Syazwan @ Laga Jenggi said he hoped the contribution would help improve the quality of health care provided by the hospital.

“We hope our contribution will help to ease the waiting time for patients to get treatment at the hospital.

“We care for the well-being of the community in Bintulu, and we are glad that we can assist in enhancing it,” he said.

In 2015, MLNG also contributed RM1.5 million worth of medical equipment to the hospital’s burn unit.

“This is part of Petronas’ commitment to look after the well-being of the community in Sarawak,” Mohamed Syazwan added.
