Bomba personnel seen at the scene of the fatal crash.
DARO: A motorist was killed, while four other individuals, including his wife and daughter, were injured following a two-car collision at Kampung Kut, Pulau Bruit here yesterday morning.
The Fire and Rescue Department (Bomba), in a statement, said the 48-year-old driver, identified as Mohd Hamzah Saat from Kampung Jemoreng in Matu, was pronounced dead at the scene by medical personnel.
It stated the victim was travelling with his wife, 47, and daughter, 22, when they
collided with a car carrying a 30-year-old man and a 28-year-old woman.
“Bomba personnel were dispatched to the scene after a distress call was received at 8.29am, and arrived to learn that members of the public had already taken the victims out from the two cars,” said the department.
It added that the four injured survivors were transported on board an ambulance to a nearby hospital for treatment.
