BINTULU: Today’s school session at SK Kampung Nyalau Bintulu was cancelled after the compound of the school was inundated by floodwaters after hours of continuous heavy rainfall last night.
A source from Bintulu District Education Office (PPD) said parents were unable to send their children to the school this morning due to the flood.
“The main entrance road to the school was flooded and it was also dangerous to the students.
“Class session has been postponed for today but teachers are still in the school,” a source said.
The school closure has affected 171 students from pre-school to Year 6.
