MIRI: Parti Keadilan Rakyat (PKR) Bukit Kota is now setting up sub-branches as part of preparations for the next Sarawak election.

PKR Bukit Kota head coordinator Rosli Amat said committee members are now moving on the ground to all villages and residential areas in Bukit Kota to set up the sub-branches.

“PKR Bukit Kota will be intensifying setting up of sub-branches, the latest by this December, to ensure the machinery is ready,” he said when chairing the first PKR Bukit Kota committee meeting yesterday.

According to him, the next election’s environment will be different from previous elections as PKR leaders from the peninsula will assist.

Rosli said a Jaya Desa Siri II programme is planned for Dec 28 this year, adding Works Minister Baru Bian and Rural Development Minister Datuk Seri Rina Mohd Harun are expected to attend.

“A special meeting with PKR DUN Bukit Kota committee members will be held for the Jaya Desa Siri II programme, which will be a platform to relay the people’s issues and get feedback from the ministers to help the party’s struggle here,” he said.
