Boys Brigade of Central Region eyes 4,500 gifts from BB Love Box 2019

SIBU: The Boys Brigade (BB) of Central Region is targeting to collect 4,500 gifts through its ‘Love Box’ project slated for the central region this year.

According to Central Region BB Love Box project chairman Lawrence Ling, the gifts contributed by the public would be distributed to underprivileged school-children and needy families.

Speaking at the launch of the BB Love Box project at Farley Supermarket here on Saturday evening, he said each gift would be in the form of 5kg rice, 2kg cooking oil and 1kg salt for one needy family; for every needy school-children, the gift would comprise a schoolbag and stationery items.

According to Lawrence, 15 Boys Brigade companies from across the central region covering Mukah, Bintangor, Sarikei, Kapit and Song, are jointly running the project, which enters its third year this time.

Sibu MP Oscar Ling, Farley Supermarket manager Eijing Lau and Sarawak Boys Brigade Commander of Pastors, Rev Dr Khoo Ho Peng were present to witness the Saturday ceremony.
