KUCHING: Kuching-born Hollywood director James Wan has announced his marriage to Romanian-German actress Ingrid Bisu, more than 10 months after their engagement.

The 42-year-old went on the Instagram to announce the good news where he posted a photo of him together with Bisu, 32 and wrote: “One ring (I mean two) to rule them all… No fuss. At home with our doggies as witnesses… Yaaayyyy”.

Following Wan’s announcement, congratulatory messages have poured in from celebrities such as actors Henry Golding, Randall Park and George Young.

Bisu also shared the same photo on Facebook where she wrote: “Officially married!!! Wohooooooo…” as she changed her name on her account to Ingrid Wan.

Famous as a director who directed horror movies such as Insidious (2010) and The Conjuring (2013) and Aquaman in 2018, Wan did not disclose how both he and Bisu met.

However, she played the role of Sister Oana in a horror movie The Nun (2018) which was produced by Wan and which was filmed in 2017.
