The trees which fell along Jalan Tun Datuk Patinggi Abdul Rahman Yakub were uprooted by strong winds.
KUCHING: At least seven trees were uprooted by strong winds at Jalan Tun Datuk Patinggi Abdul Rahman Yakub at around 4pm today.
Road users in the area are currently facing massive traffic delays as both lanes are blocked by the fallen trees and debris.
According to sources, strong winds which lasted about 20 minutes had uprooted the trees.
At the scene now are personnel from the Fire and Rescue Department (Bomba) to assist the contractors from the Kuching North City Commission (DBKU) in clearing the area.
No injuries were reported as at press time.
