Speaking to reporters during a check at the warehouse here today, its commanding officer Supt Tan Hiap Seang said the intelligence unit was gathering information for two weeks before making the move to ambush the warehouse.

“After gathering enough information, the raiding team carried the ambush yesterday at around 2pm. Upon checking, we found 7,057 gunny sacks containing 50kg each in the warehouse worth RM1,340,830,” he said.

The gunny sacks were imprinted with “Bernas Nasional” to avoid from being detected by the authorities.
