KUALA LUMPUR: The Hive Co-Learning Space was launched at Taylor’s University here, marking the first of a three-way collaboration between BzBee Consult Sdn Bhd, Sarawak Tourism Board (STB), and Taylor’s University in enhancing students’ practical development.

A press release said the learning space would benefit students of the university’s School of Media and Communication as well as School of Hospitality, Tourism and Events by providing a venue for students to come together to learn and discuss various aspects of communication, promotions, as well as obtain advice and feedback from BzBee’s public relations consultants.

STB, which partly sponsored and branded the co-learning space, also welcomed the usage of its ‘Sarawak – More to Discover’ campaign tagline as a case study for the students.

The launch was an extension of the collaborative effort between BzBee and Taylor’s, following a memorandum of understanding on Oct 11.

Aside from the launching, there was also the ‘Kolok Fest’, which was planned and implemented by final year students, with Discovering Sarawak as the subject matter of the promotion.

The main highlight of the Kolok Fest was ‘The Sarawak Adventure’, an exhibition with multiple stations displaying and representing Sarawak culture, giving an immersive and a truly ‘More to Discover’ Sarawak experience.

The stations included a 360-degree image experience, an IGTV quiz, traditional Sarawak musical instruments, and food tasting booth for Sarawakian delicacies.

The festival also incorporated Sarawak-inspired elements, from traditional dances to musical performances.
