KUCHING: Malaysian Red Crescent of SJK Chung Hua No 5 is holding an electronic waste (e-waste) collection at the school this weekend (Nov 23-24) from 9am to 4pm.

The objective is to minimise e-waste in landfills by offering the public safe and secure disposal of out-of-date IT gadgets and e-waste. Members of the public may bring along old, obsolete computer parts, accessories, television, refrigerators and other electrical appliances to be recycled.

The money collected would be used for community service. Donation of used clothing is also accepted. Members of the public are encouraged to support the school’s green initiative.
