MIRI: The women members of Parti Keadilan Rakyat (PKR) need to unite and be the force to hold the party together, says Datuk Seri Hafsah Harun.

In stating this, the Special Advisor (Sarawak Affairs) in Deputy Prime Minister’s Office is very concerned about the current in-fighting among several PKR leaders and members – a situation that is breaking the party apart.

“Quarrelling with each other cannot solve any issue arising in the party. No solution could be achieved this way.

“Thus, PKR Women has the power to ease the tension and hopefully, resolve this issue,” said Hafsah, who is also PKR Sarawak advisor, at the ‘Solidarity Dinner’ hosted by Miri PKR Women at a hotel here on Friday.

She highlighted the adage ‘the hands that rock the crib, can rock the world’ to highlight her point further.

“Women who manage their families well, can run the country as leaders too, just like our Deputy Prime Minister Datuk Seri Dr Wan Azizah Wan Ismail.”

Hafsah also expressed thanks to Miri MP Dr Michael Teo – also PKR Miri chief – who had always been supportive of PKR Women.

Parti Amanah Negara (Amanah) Sarawak secretary Fadillah Sabali, Miri PKR Women chief Korina Mang and PKR Hulu Rajang chairman Abun Sui were among those present at the dinner.
