SIBU: A landslide occurred at Rumah Ancum Jawan at Jalan Pekan Machan, near here yesterday afternoon, with no reports of injuries or casualties received.
Firemen from Kanowit fire station received a distress call on the incident at 3.19pm and despatched a team to the scene.
Upon arrival, the team discovered that a hill located at the rear of the longhouse was affected by soil erosion.
The affected unit is inhabited by four adults and six children.
After monitoring the situation and ensuring everything was safe, firemen advised the residents on precautionary measures before departing the scene.
Four policemen were also involved in the operation.
