KUCHING: A 31-year-old air conditioning technician from Jerantut, Pahang was found dead in his rented room at a commercial shop lot in Batu Kawah around 10.30am yesterday.

Padawan police said in a statement that the body was discovered by the deceased’s elder brother, who dropped by for a visit.

After knocking on the locked door and getting no response after calling out to his younger brother, he decided to break down the door to gain entry.

It is believed that the deceased died two days prior. Police did not find any evidence of foul play at the scene.

Early investigations revealed that the deceased had an Indonesian roommate, who returned to his home country a few weeks ago. Police have classified the case as sudden death pending a post-mortem report from the Sarawak General Hospital.
