The dead elephant’s carcass found by the plantation worker at Bakapit area.

LAHAD DATU: Another elephant has been found dead in Sabah.

This time, the carcass was found at the Bakapit area, here, today.

District Wildlife Department Officer, Sylvester Saimin when contacted, said the carcass was found by plantation worker at about 6.30am.

Sylvester said the Wildlife Department personnel went to the site to investigate upon receiving information on the discovery.

“We are conducting post mortem and further information will be announced once we have completed also received the report of post mortem,” he added.

In the past four months, four dead elephants have been found in Tawau, Sungai Kinabatangan, Beluran and the latest one in Bakapit, here.
