KUALA LUMPUR: A weak earthquake, measuring 2.8 on the Richter Scale, hit Ranau in Sabah yesterday afternoon, according to the Meteorological Department.
It said in a statement that the temblor occurred at a depth of five kilometres, about two kilometres southeast of Ranau.It also said that areas surrounding the district could have felt tremors. — Bernama
