SIBU: Progressive Democratic Party (PDP) Central Region has clarified that its Chinese New Year (CNY) open house will be held at Catholic High School hall here this Jan 27, and not on Jan 23 as reported previously.
Organising chairman Councillor Ting Hua Sing said the event would run from 9am to 1pm, and would host about 5,000 people of various races.
Party president, Bintulu MP Dato Sri Tiong King Sing, would also be present at the gathering, together with the central committee and party members, Ting told reporters at the PDP Central Region office here.
According to Ting, guests would be treated to various entertainments including lion dance performances, while the children would be given ‘angpows’.
Food and drinks will be served, and mandarin oranges will be distributed to those present.
All members of the public are welcome to PDP Central Region’s CNY open house.
